It is an event to build innovative solutions that position Madurai as a smarter, resilient, and sustainable city for living, studying, accessing public services and conducting business. Madurai Tech Community brings together the industry, professionals and the academia to collectively think and contribute in the solution building process.

This is an Open Hackathon. The execution of the event will follow the below structure.

• Problem statements are published along with some resources.

• Participants are expected to select one of the problems and provide a specific, pragmatic solution.

• Participants are encouraged to join as teams or form teams with other participants by joining Madurai Tech Community's discord channel.

• Madurai Tech Community runs webinars prior to the offline event to help participants understand the hackathon format, solution expectation, participant process, etc.

• Madurai Tech Community forms a team of mentors with subject matter expertise and solution building expertise. Mentors share their knowledge and expertise with participants to fine tune their solution at the offline event.

• Mentors and judges will be given winner selection criteria to evaluate the teams. The criteria used for selection are: solution features, feasibility, user centricity, innovation, clarity on next steps (go-to-market), communication.

• Participants will be given cash prizes, technology kits, swag, etc.

• Intellectual Property belongs to the participants. Post event, participants will be linked with future opportunities such as Startup pitch events to take their solutions for value realization.
